More & Less Dining Table Set Design
This project was initiated in response to the global issue of Ageing and in particular Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and its associated implications including daily functionality deterioration and eating difficulties.
The project core concept was “Dignity” which implies all human beings including elderly people hold inherent right to be valued, respected and treated in ethical manner.
The end user of this project is elderly people suffering from AD in early or mid stage who find maintaining their independence in eating and drinking challenging.
The objective of this project is to facilitate the eating process of elderly people affected by AD as one of their most challenging daily tasks.
It enables them to utilise their remaining abilities and improves their functionality to perform daily tasks with more self-esteem and less dependence lead to improving their quality of life.
It significantly can improve their well being through achieving enhanced nutrition as well which reduce the demands on healthcare departments.
