Marketing Strategies and Reflection

My website showcases my portfolio and my design skills which considered as my main strategy. Therefore, then main product of my website which needs to be promoted is myself or simply put my is my design skills.
The aim is to encourage potential employer or clients to hire me for their future projects. It can be done through digital marketing as well as traditional marketing. (online & Offline).
Digital marketing can be done via promoting through google, Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube and more.
Traditional marketing could be through business card, pamphlet, magazine or local newspaper ad, TV or radio ad. Some of my marketing strategy I have in mind to do are as follows:

Email Marketing:

Using Email Marketing and sending regular email to subscribers drives traffic to my website.

Digital Media:

Having digital media content like video or animation related to my website content or simply a video profile as an introduction can enhance the interaction and drives more traffic to my website.
More interestingly, making some video tutorials and including them on website in relation to design or design softwares increase the number of visitors to my website and also encourage them to come back to check for new videos.

Social Media:

Social media is a powerful and cost-effective marketing tool such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and more Traffic to and from my website engaging with fans and followers by creating a professional account and being constantly active and post and update new projects done and use it as a second platform for my portfolio in addition to my portfolio website.

Networking:

It is important to stay up to date with the latest trends, applications and news in the industry and attend seminars and events or workshops and make new connection and community interaction within the design industry and engage with other designer or design influencers.
Social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter can be extremely powerful and cost-effective networking and marketing tools.

Blogging:

Blogging and writing about design or some design strategies on popular topic for example how to make a UX portfolio or anything we have knowledge or have done research previously. In this way I can share my knowledge and get my name out there.

Communication:

Including form to have interaction with clients or employers or simply with a visitor might have question.

Joining social media design groups:

By joining design groups in Facebook or other social media platforms putting post and introducing myself and being constantly active, uploading work sample and commenting on other works uploaded by other group members could potentially traffic to my website to see my portfolio.

Traditional Marketing:

Some offline advertising such as having business card or including ad in newspaper or magazine.
